# Terms of Use > Plain-English terms for opti-portal.tech and the software distributed > through it. Last updated 2026-08-05. These may be refined as the > portal grows; the version on this page is the one that applies. ## Who we are opti-portal.tech is run by Opti-Gen Core Systems Ltd, 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Questions about these terms: jamesb@opti-portal.tech. ## What the software is Everything in the Digital Store is a **working slice of a larger build** — real tools cut from ongoing client projects and our own internal systems, packaged so they are useful on their own. That provenance means: - Software is provided **as-is and as-available**, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose. It is workshop output, not shrink-wrapped product. - Updates arrive **when the parent project moves**, not on a schedule. Features may change or be removed as the larger builds evolve. - There is **no support obligation**. We often help anyway — report anything through the contact form — but a reply is goodwill, not a service level. ## Licensing of downloads Unless a download page states otherwise, software is licensed for **personal, non-commercial use**: install it, use it, back it up. Don't resell it, redistribute it as your own, or strip the notices out of it. Where a package bundles third-party components, their own licences ride along inside the package and continue to apply. ## Acceptable use Don't use the site or the software to break the law, probe or disrupt our infrastructure or anyone else's, or attempt to access accounts, areas, or data that aren't yours. Client portal areas are for the named client only — see the Portal Rules policies. ## Your data We collect as little as we can get away with — see the Privacy Policy and Data Minimisation pages. The contact form sends your name, email, and message to us so we can reply, and nothing else happens to them. ## Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Opti-Gen Core Systems Ltd is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of this site or the software distributed through it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Software that touches your own systems is used at your own judgement — read what a tool does before you run it, and keep backups (we do). ## Changes When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continued use of the site after a change means the current version applies.
